Evening at the Waterhole

Sold

This etching references a section of the rugged landscape around a waterhole visited near Borroloola in the gulf area of the Northern Territory’s Limmen Bight River Region. The anthropomorphic sandstone structures along the water are intended to symbolise ‘Guardians’ protecting a life source which was critical to the survival of the Australian Aboriginal people.
